Bo-Russ Contracting Ltd. (“Bo-Russ”) was established in the fall of 2007 when long-time friends Sid Boeve and Tyler Russell decided to partner together to offer drainage and excavation services to the farmers in the area surrounding Carman, Manitoba.
Together, Sid and Tyler envisioned building a company that was committed to providing excellent customer service. Their customer-service driven approach to business has become the cornerstone of the company’s success.
Before starting the company with Tyler, Sid spent seven years working for a large scale tree farm land where he learned firsthand the importance of drainage and irrigation. Sid’s main responsibility was for the installation and operation of the irrigation systems and solving drainage problems. This work experience allowed Sid to develop the knowledge, which helps him to serve Bo-Russ Contracting Ltd.’s customers today.
In the spring of 2011, Bo-Russ Contracting Ltd. purchased a Wolfe tile plow and started to specialize in the installation of complete drainage solutions that help farmers manage excess water and improve their crop yields. Since that time, Bo-Russ Contracting Ltd. has completed many projects all across southern Manitoba.
Tyler was involved in managing the company and continued to own and operate the family farm just northeast of Carman, Manitoba where Bo-Russ Contracting Ltd. was first located. This allowed Sid and Tyler to operate the businesses side by side and allowed Bo-Russ Contracting Ltd. to stay closely connected to the agricultural foundation of the business.
Until 2014, Tyler was involved in managing the business operations of Bo-Russ Contracting Ltd. with Sid. Tyler decided to focus his time and energy on the family farm.
Bo-Russ Contracting Ltd. has since moved to its new location in Carman, Manitoba. Sid continues to manage the business today and stays true to the company’s roots by providing excellent customer service.
